About project
The Performance Lab is a Toronto sports science centre for testing, training, therapy and longevity. The site presents these services to professional and everyday athletes.
Project task
The brief was to communicate everything the lab offers clearly enough for a client to take it in on one visit, on a site with a lot of content and most of its traffic on mobile. That made mobile first the priority, the experience had to work and read perfectly on a phone, while desktop still needed room to feel high end and visually ambitious.

Concept
Everything was built mobile first, clear hierarchy, plain navigation, information broken into steps a phone visitor can take in without feeling buried. On desktop that same structure opens up, more space, bolder motion, room for the brand's beyond the limits energy to come through. A mega menu, tabbed service breakdowns and an FAQ accordion carry the heavy content load on both, sorting a lot of detail into pieces instead of one long wall of text.

The interesting part was the content problem, this lab genuinely has a lot to explain, and finding ways to reveal it gradually without cutting anything the brand needed said was the real puzzle. I really enjoyed coming up with unique, visually refined ways to solve that same problem instead of falling back on a plain, predictable layout.
